PAINTING
I grew up watching my mother and grandmother beading fancy fabrics, quilting blankets, and sewing my school dresses. My work captures the rhythm of those moments, piecing together my personal identity with my diverse cultural/ethnical experiences. I see yards of canvas flowing out like yards of velvet or cotton on a sewing table. My vision is to eliminate structures, and to make art with immediacy, looking beyond borders.
